On Thursday June 25  SRI Business Consulting Virtual Worlds@Work (http://www.sric-bi.com/VWW) will host a special online seminar open to the members of SDForum Virtual World SIG (and our readers). This session was planned in mid-June and we are happy to have this opportunity to explore the use of virtual worlds in collaboration, training, and learning, from some of the most important projects in the space.   This event will be viewable online and hosted virtually in Second Life.  All media for the event will be linked from http://www.virtualworldsig.com

Stratim Capital (http://www.stratimcapital.com/) buys out a Second Life(tm) (http://www.secondlife.com) investor, to .  Partner in the firm Zach Abrams  states “it doesn’t look like it (Second Life) will need to raise another VC round.”   This seems like a good sign of the stability and maturity of Second Life, amidst a lot of recent naysayers, most of which don’t  choose to use the world anyway.
